Welcome to Classical Newbie, a blog written by a twenty-something classical music fan! The blog title is inspired by the feeling I get about classical music: I’ve listened and enjoyed classical music for a majority of my life, but I still feel new to the genre due to its massive range. It gives me great joy to always be discovering and rediscovering pieces. I am eager to share this feeling with the interwebs, especially with hopes that the wonder and excitement I feel can resonate with my peers (and younger if they are open to the classical music experience).
In this blog, you’ll find:
- Reviews of recent classical music performances
- Reflections on the genre and experience of listening
- Recommended articles, recordings (Spotify), and videos (YouTube)
- Interesting news and trivia
- and more!
Thank you for stopping by!
Jennifer
